Narendra Modi biography
Narendra Damodardas Modi is the current Prime Minister of India and 15th overall. He had a clear mandate of Indian public as the BJP leader went on to win a majority in Lok Sabha elections in 2014. Narendra Modi was also the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 where his work was highly appreciated.
As the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi’s economic policies were highly praised but the Gujarat riots were also regarded as the worst administration failure which resulted in mass killings of Muslims in the state in 2002. A strong leader and a member of RSS, Modi is still a controversial figure internationally.

Modi was born on 17th September to Damodardas Mulchand and Heeraben Modi. In accordance to traditions, Modi’s marriage was engaged Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi at the age of 13 and eventually married her when he was 18. But, the two spent little time together when Modi began his travels to Hindu ashrams. Modi later joined the puritan RSS as a ‘pracharak’. Modi kept his marriage a secret for most of his life only to acknowledge it while filing nominations for 2014 general elections.
