Suchitra Sen was a famous Indian actress who made her mark in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She was the first Bengali actress to receive award at an International film festival. She played Paro's character in Bimal roy's classic Devdas. Married to Dibanath Sen, Suchitra had a daughter Moon Moon sen and grand daughters Rimi and Raima Sen who themselves are film actresses and celebrities - Mythical India

Dandi March or the Salt March was an act of civil disobidience against the British law which introduced Tax on salt production. The law deemed all sea-salt reclaimation activities done by Indians illegal. Mahatma Gandhi initiated Dandi March from Sabarmati ashram in Ahmedabad and continued walking for 24 days to reach Dandi. The march ended on April 6th - Mythical India

6 April - In one of the deadliest attacks by Maoists, 76 CRPF jawans were killed in Dantewada district of Chattisgarh when the troops were conducting Area domination exercise (ADE) in Bastar region. Instead of mourning the soldiers who laid their lives, the deaths were celebrated in JNU campus by student with Maoist ideology. This led to huge uproar within and outside university campus - Mythical India
