29 Feb- Birth anniversary of Shri Morarji Desai, the 4th Prime Minister of India. He served as the prime Minister from 1977 to 1979 as the head of India's first non-Congress Government. He also commands great respect on international front due to his peace activism and efforts to initiate peace between Pakistan and India. He also helped in restoring relations with China and Pakistan after India's first nuclear test in 1974. Morarji was also conferred Pakistan's highest civilian award of Nishan-e-Pakistan.
